This month we will be doing something a little different! We will be doing a charity event. I know you are thinking "oh no not another charity event" Well trust me this is something that everyone can do.
We will be helping our local Arizona Military Reserve. As most of you know my youngest son is a member of the JROTC group at his high school. Our Arizona Reserve and National Guard are a large supporter of the JROTC program and help the JROTC on a regular basis with their events. So I want to give back to the Reserve troups that are protecting our Country. What we need is cards. Yes cards, not ones addressed to anyone but cards that can be donated to the troups to so they can send them home to their families. They really have NO access to this kind of thing in Iraq. So I thought being scrappers/card makers we might have access to such a thing and since this month the crop falls on memorial weekend what a better time to hold such a event.
Here are the necessary details.
1. Cards need to be standard mailing rate size
2. All need a envelope for each card
The type of cards they need.

This is how you can help..
Each person should bring 1 dozen cards (they can all be the same or a mixture of needed styles)
As a thank you from me if you sign up for this event and agree to bring 1 dozen cards you will receive $5 refund for your registration. Don't worry if you can not particpate in the card project, We will be taking monitary donations as well.
You will still receive the fabulous dinner, your own table, and 12 hours of non-stop scrap time.
Past months have been filling up fast so register early!!!
Seating is limited to 16 people so reserve your spot early by prepaying by check. Cost is $35 if PAID April 28th. After April 28th it will be $40, if your spot is not paid for by May 10th it will become available to everyone again.
